I simply don't get Boehner. He has the ability to talk the talk and correctly define the issues before the American people. But when faced with even the hint of pressure, he folds like a house of cards. This latest episode defies logic. The GOP House had effectively won. They had correctly pointed out that it was the Senate that had not done its job, and that they were sitting there waiting on the proper course of events to take their course. Obama was looking like an absolute fool in front of the American people, so much so that he had his dog flown back from Hawaii just so he could use him in a photo-op. Yet once again, the GOP snatches defeat out of the jaws of victory.

McConnell is completely worthless. He might as well go ahead and switch parties since he is working for the other side already. It was McConnell that did Obama and Reid's bidding for them.

It does -not- defy logic if you accept the premise that the GOP is a FALSE FRONT. It is not a conservative party, it does not promote conservative or even libertarian principals. The GOP is to American Constitutional principles what Vidkun Quisling was to Norwegian national defense.

Accept the premise that it is all a charade and everything the GOP has done for the past decade or two is perfectly logical, consistent and indeed sophisticated.

We have been bamboozled.

In the eyes of this voter,
Mitch made the switch
when he chose not to oppose Reid.
(Why do we pay these turncoats anyway?)

Politicians judge themselves by what they say, but voters judge politicians by what they do.

The evil left is aiming for a totalitarian dictatorship. They want absolute power and they will let nothing stand in their way.

The answer to your confusion is quite obvious -- Boehner like almost everyone in Congress has been compromised. Boehner and others are being black mailed to the hilt. They are mere puppets.

My reading of history tells me that the only way we can ever restore our Republic is through a total economic and/or political collapse, with the hope that enough wise men come to the front to beat back the evil left.

Politically, it can only happen if enough States coalesce and dissolve the power of the Feds. D.C must be financially destroyed to truly rid ourselves of the bloated parasite class. <-- I rank the probably of the political solution at near zero.
