Right thing to do. Repubs were getting killed publically on this issue. This is a war, and you win battle by battle. Don’t let Obama have the mantle of tax cutter. He is just the opposite. But Boehner and McConnell have got to do a better job. They should strategize better together. Should have not allowed this to get into a bad PR for the repubs.

I agree it was the right thing to do.

I’m just extremely frustrated that the left owns the message and we can’t get our message out there. I can’t believe how incredibly twisted this whole thing got. Up is down and the sun sets in the east.

According to the press and the demoncrats, anyway. And the people believe them.

Agree in general but I suspect they “strategized” just fine, but in the end Boehner could not deliver. I don’t think McConnell is stupid enough to have sent over a proposal that nearly all Republican Senators voted for only to have it rejected by the House. He had the battle won, and useless Boehner booted it.

They need to WORK TOGETHER and GET THE JOB DONE which is not what is happening. They’re screwing the pooch!

We need the meanest, toughest, hardass SOB running the House, and we’ve got a wimp.

You can’t win a war fighting battles with pea shooters.

DROP A FRICKIN’ NUKE!

There, war over.

It’s not the right thing to do. The right thing is to point out that we are doing nothing but giving people a loan against their so-called social security.

The right thing to do is make the point Soc Sec is obviously a ponzi scheme since the Dems agree, now, to underfund it. When Bush in 2006 tried to “privatize” it by letting you put the same 2% in private accounts the Dems SCREAMED BLOODY MURDER!

Can’t have it both ways. If John Boehner wasn’t a total douche he’d have pointed that out and maybe “won the battle” as you put it.

Instead they, again, put up the white flag and retreated crying (literally I’m sure), “fall back”.
