“I read that they were lovers for over a year, which means they were violating the law and regulations. So they are KNOWN liars and criminals. Nice.”

Don’t think so, before there was not a ban on gays, just don’t ask, don’t tell. I think they could be in relationship as long as they didn’t “tell”.

You are entitled to your own opinion,
but you are not entitled to make up your own facts.

Until 9/20/2011 the law and the regulations prohibited any homosexual behavior, to include being in a same-sex romantic or sexual relationship.

DADT was a policy of the commander-in-chief (or Defense Secretary) to never “ASK” a soldier only so long as the soldier did not “TELL” (which meant a soldier was free to try to keep it a secret, but the soldier ran the risk of being discovered and then the command would enforce the law and regulations).

So, as I said, these women are known lawbreakers and liars because they were active homosexuals while DADT was in effect who successfully hid that from the command.

“Both women, ages 22 and 23 respectively, are fire controlmen in the Navy. They met at training school and have been dating for two years.” http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45753034/ns/us_news-life/#.TvNcCvKPa8A

It is very simple: you are factually wrong.
