When Republicans suspended the 100-watt-light-bulb ban, they said they were trying to protect consumer choice. But they also managed to show how regulations help big business at the expense of the little guy.

If ever there was an issue ripe for a Republican Presidential candidate to exploit.

The problem is, it was a Republican President who signed it into law.

That still shouldn't stop our candidates.

Decriminalize the incandescent light bulb!

And bring back the 3.5 gallon flush toilet.

May I say, I am a little guy, and I for one am pleased to have access to a good old fashioned light bulb for a little bit longer. When business benefits the consumer it benefits the business, and the cycle goes on. If that’s crony capitalism then let’s get some more of it, quick!

The single greatest act of crony capitalism was the introduction of the income tax.

Stop and think about how much money private citizens and businesses have spent through the years on an ever-increasing level to both file and comply with IRS rules, laws and compliance?

Then, look at the industries that exist to “assist” in both the compliance, record keeping, and filing of the myriad of forms and papers related to the IRS.

Everything pales in comparison to the Accounting and legal industries enjoying ever increasing business for them flowing from the cornucopia of new IRS regulations being generated daily.
