Not at all. So if Muslim countries are unfair to their citizens then that somehow gives Israel the right to be unfair its citizens? That's some kind of logic.

Holding others to a higher standard for the sake of principle(at least that’s supposedly the reason, there is more than enough reason to suspect otherwise) is what has gotten the West to its pretty pass in dealing with Islam, because Islam doesn’t play by the same rules. Just as they use American democratic means to chip away at democracy.

I daresay the Israelis, having much longer experience of this than we have, understand that their survival is more important than upholding this particular abstract principle, because it’s suicidal when only one side does it.

Should the Israelis commit suicide to satisy the liberal West’s demand for “fairness”?
