Gov. Jerry Brown sees a modern day message for proponents of solar power in the story of Hanukkah. Speaking at the Capitol Menorah Lighting this morning, the Democratic governor cast the eight-day Jewish holiday, which begins tomorrow, as a good time to reflect on "the whole idea that we're running out of oil so we need a miracle."

I hope Brown was celebrating the “miracle” of Solyndra, which enriched his supporters and Obama’s. Even that would be less disgusting than what it sounds like he is saying.

I disagree! We need to let him and his party administer the coupe de grace to this state so that the moron voters will finally understand the error of their ways. It has to get a lot worse so that it can find it’s way back to being #1.

I understand what you’re saying, although this would only be effective if the CA GOP actually allow Conservatives to run the show... then again, if we put up a Recall candidate, it’d probably end up being another execrable Socialist RINO asshat like Ah-nold (instead of someone like Tom McClintock).
Pretty well sums up liberal logic. We are unlikely to be able to petition the Almighty to provide a miracle. He gave us minds capable of solving problems through the application of imagination and hard work.
