Scott Rasmussen finds that an overwhelming 75% support photo ID requirements. The Democrats also hope to stir up their base by attacking state efforts to curb illegal immigration. Here, too, they are paddling the canoe uphill, as likely voters say, by a 52%/34% margin that they would like their state to enact an immigration law like Arizonas. Gallup finds that growing and expanding the economy is given high priority by 82% of Americans and increasing equality of opportunity for people to get ahead if they want to is considered very important by 70%, while only 46% attribute high priority to reducing the income gap between rich and poor.

So we are not yet 3rd world welfare country. It is sad that GOP frontrunners are not supporting state laws in AZ and AL and not making combating voter fraud a big issue.
Michele Bachmann is more in line with majority of americans than either of the leading RINO candidates (NewtRomney).
The problem is fear and disconnect on the part of the GOP’s “leaders”.
They would find that if they withstand the initial 48 hour media zhit storm that is usually launched by the media when a GOP’er makes a “controversial” statement (that is to say, a statement based on common sense and American values), most of America agrees with them.
The Dems count on voter fraud (i.e., photo-ID elimination and illegal alien votes) to have any chance of staying in power.
