He should give away advertiser stuff, like Lifelock and Carbonite subscriptions.

Speaking of which, does anyone use Lifelock? I've been thinking about it, but not sure that it's a good idea to give them control of my identity.

I don’t use Lifelock. I don’t buy anything they sell on Fox News either.

Seems like it’s all a ripoff one step above a Ronco infomercial.

I've had Lifelock for about a year now. I can't tell you what kind of peace of mind it brings.

A lady in my office had her wallet stolen two weeks ago, she's still sorting things out, trying to call all the companies, etc. her ss card was in her wallet too.

I thought then, that if it was me, I'd call lifelock. One call - to secure my identity. Also, when agencies like the local taxing agent or savings & loans get hacked and clients records get exposed (this happened to us), I did not panic or have to wonder.

I hate to sound like a commercial, but, darn, I love it. They don;t control your identity - they protect it.

I did some research between Lifelock and other ID theft insurance companies. While they do monitor your credit reports, they did not offer a service that others offer. I would highly recommend Zander’s ID Theft insurance. If you do get your ID stolen, they will assign a counselor to you and that counselor will do all of the “leg work” to clear up all of the problems.

That alone will save you tens of hours.....anywhere from 40 to 100 hours of your own time.
