Ive got a Tim Tebow problem. I want to root for the guy, but Im afraid of what will happen if the hulky Denver Bronco quarterback continues to pull off what is fast becoming the Greatest Gridiron Story Ever Told. A poster boy of the Christian right, Tebow steadfastly thanks Jesus after every game and, while in college, often inscribed biblical messages on his eye paint. Now tiny Tim has grown and is on track to possibly appear in this seasons Super Bowl on the field and that is what scares me. In this country, nothing, not even God, is more popular than football. Even in the wake of a summer long labor dispute, 23 of the 25 most watched TV programs this fall have been NFL games. When you combine the religion that is football with the religion that is religion, the mix can be dangerously flammable. The NFL ratings rise has been fueled in part by Tebows legions of faithful followers, as well as by those simply curious to see how this implausible morality tale plays out.

Of course we will, because that is what we do.
Just imagine what Christians will do if he loses the SB.
Freegards
And right before he flies airliners full of innocent people into skyscrapers, no doubt.
Superbowl? We’re still several steps away from that. Let’s not go crazy here!
Happens after every NASCAR race but the media apparently covers it up. /s
Brees and the Saints will win the Super Bowl and it will be against the Steelers.
I’m guessing “Rabbi Joshua Hammerman” is Yiddish for “Absolutely Deluded Insane Moron”?
Surely the writer is joking. This just must be satire, right?
Rabbis like the scumbag who wrote this are a disgrace to Judaism and Jews everywhere. You want to talk about anti-Semitism, this guy is bringing a lot of anti-Semitism by creating hatred between Jews and Christians with vomitous scribblings like this.
I’ll bet this guy has never had a bad thing to say about Obama or any islamic terrorist. “Rabbi”s like this are to Jews like Al Sharpton is to Christians. All they do is create hatred and mistrust in their communities to the benefit of themselves.
And the true face of hatred just reared its ugly head. What a pathetic linkage. Hey Rabbi, Merry Christmas.
Don’t forget stringing up idiot reporters.
Interesting bunch of thoughts.
Do gays find mosques a supportive sort of place?...
Rabbi Joshua Hammerman, Jewish Week Online Columnist, the author of this article, needs psychological help in my humble opinion.
Here’s his last paragraph:
“If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants. While America has become more inclusive since Jerry Falwells first political forays, a Tebow triumph could set those efforts back considerably.”
The rabbi is nuts.....and obviously a liberal (definitely nuts).
Those “Bitter Clingers” are so aggressive and dangerous.
Jewish Week is a lefist rag, also called Jewish “Weak”.
The author is an idiot, the last paragraph proves it. It doesn’t work that way in contemporary society(national or international), Christians are the ones who are persecuted, stoned, murdered, ridiculed, etc.
Wow, yet another Jew who openly bashes Christians. Surprising as the sun rising in the East, and Obama kicking out another leg holding up America.
D*mn those right wing poster boys......
