Eloquently written analysis of sports star and his faith. I am not much of a football fan, but was choked up by this inspiring story.

The Lions were 6 and 2 when they blasphemed against God after they sacked Tebow.
They are 1 and 3 since.

The Lions were already cursed long before certain dumasses decided to “Tebow” Tebow..

Detroit sux and now the Lord knows it too.

I don’t think much of Tebow’s career prospects as an NFL quarterback, but there’s no getting around the fact that this guy is 100% class and a model of human character.

Yes, even if you’re familiar with Tebow, it’s worth a read.

Stories like this remind me of that remarkable scene in the movie Field of Dreams where Ray Kinsella (played by Kevin Costner) meets Dr. Archibald Graham (played by Burt Lancaster)on a dark street in small-town Minnesota. Graham had played half an inning of one game in the major leagues decades earlier, then faded into obscurity and never made it to the big leagues again.

Kinsella: "Fifty years ago, for five minutes you came within -- you came this close. It would kill some men to get so close to their dream and not touch it. God, they'd consider it a tragedy."

Graham: "Son, if I'd only gotten to be a doctor for five minutes ... now that would have been a tragedy."

There are thousands of people doing things like this that the media never covers. That said, I believe Mr. Tebow would do this same thing whether he was in the spotlight or not.

What's that saying, "Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching".

All the commentators pretend its Tebow’s playing style that offends them — they crap all over him and say he is a terrible quarterback, and try to come up with “logical” explanations for why the Bronc’s are doing well.

So many people are addicted to football, its great that there is a proud Christian in the public eye.

I love watching the man play football. But we need to be carefull not to elevate one person too high in the sense that nobody is without sin. If Tim stubles off the trail somewhere a long the line, the media will report it and try to make him look like Jim Bakker even if it is not to that extreme.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Tim Tebow is a wonderful courageous young man.
He is disliked by the cowardly hypocrits in the sports media because he is a courageous Christian and Pro-Life.
I watched Tim’s great career at Florida. How many quarterbacks have won 2 national championships?
Tim does have things in proper order:first,God;second, family;and third your team.

"He stresses that football is just a game and that God doesn't care who wins or loses."

1 Samuel 47
And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.

Matthew 10:30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Lord, give Mr. Tebow more time to study your word.
