Very few, if any, pro-choice advocates claim the fetus is not alive, that it is not human or that it is not a separate organism.
They claim, and the Roe decision agreed, that it is not a legal person according to the constitutional definition.
There are only two logical definite points at which a new “person” can come into being: conception and birth. The Court chose birth. I disagree with them, but neither they nor Ms. Boxer are claiming the fetus isn’t alive or human. They just say this particular human life has no enforceable legal rights.
