Yes, only “smart people” can see that aspect.
To us rubes, it looks like he would consider Romney and that he respects Romney.

I can’t believe all the dumb a$$ posts in this thread. One more time. CNN is trying to start a war between Mitt and Newt. Newt did not take the bait and instead praised Mitt which completely goofed up what CNN was trying to do. He is not going to have Mitt as VP. Pure and simple. People please show some intelligence.

Too much to take away from a polite reply to a polite question?
I posted the following comment:
Ya think?! Understatement of the day?
Do you seriously think that this warranted that headline?
That was nothing more than Gingrich being gracious.
If you dont agree with graciousness as a strategy fine. But that headline? Please.

I find it unlikely Bolton would be happy to serve at Newt’s pleasure.

Romney would make a pretty good VP - he just wouldn’t make a good Prez. The problem with Romney isn’t that he’s not a sharp tool - he is - the problem with Romney is that he is nothing more than a tool, and a tool, no matter how sharp, cannot be a leader.
With someone there to control his liberal urges, and someone to give him a mission and a goal to spend his managerial fetishes on, Romney would be most useful.
He just shouldn’t be President.

Hell, Noot, why don’t you “reach across the aisle” and have Hillary be your running mate?

Garbage story here, designed to divide.
If Newt wins, he will pick someone who can deliver a key state, or someone who fills a specific void in the conservative constituency.
Romney will offend the GOP evangelical base, won't even pick up the state he governed in, nor will he help anywhere else.
Does anyone really think Utah is going to vote for Obama?
Garbage.
Gingrich admits Romney would be on his short list for VP
Conservative America has stated very clearly, time and again, that they do not want Mitt Romney in the Whitehouse.
Based on the thread headline, several questions beg to be asked;
Are Americans being suckered again with a candidate bait and switch ?
Will Americans accept the premise and the MSM narrative that there are only two (2) GOP Presidential candidates ?
Is Newt Gingrich simply toeing the line, and naming the Runner-up of Hope for the GOP establishment in DC ?
Why should America settle for an admitted non-conservative ?

its a setup to get Mittens to ease up on his attacks on Newt.
Essentially, Newt is trying to NEUTer Romney.

In the minds of so many here, Newt Gingrich can do no right. How would YOU feel about a Gingrich/Romney ticket? I believe this move would cause Independents to vote for a third party candidate.

Well, since we’re asking, Why would mittens who spent 130 million in ‘08 to lose the presidency spend at least as much this go-around to be VP?
I’m guessing he would beg off.

You know, One thing I will NEVER understand is how Obama got Hillary to serve as SOS under him after a contentious primary.
She is supposed to be an astute politician, did she not realize Obama would put her balls in a vice?
I recall when Obama made that trip to India with the Massive entourage of businessmen and politicians.
He didn’t take Hillary along.
He sent her to the New Guinea jungle to talk about women’s rights LoL
What a knife in the back!
