Yes, and I believe the poll, for the time taken.

By Nov 2012 (with Gingrich as the GOP candidate), there will be a Billion dollars worth of 30 second ads describing Newt as a philandering ethics violator who argues (eloquently) with himself, and loses.

American voters are, sadly, impressionable to a point; and, a Newt candidacy simply cannot stand the billion dollar heat.

(I wish I had better news, but Newt would not win, and Obama would continue with his scorched-earth "change" on our wonderful Country.)

with Fox News Poll added: Gingrich 36%, Romney 23%

Weighted 4-Poll Rolling Averages of the latest
20+ Polls listed at RCP   [as of Dec 8th]
plus
YouGov polls 12/3, 11/26 11/19, 11/12, 11/5, 10/29, 10/22, 10/15, 10/08, &
Poll Position 12/04, 11/27, 11/22, 11/8, 11/1 polls inserted chronologically
Also the 11/9 - 11/14 Pew poll was broken into two, (3-day) polls

(Example methodology for this chart will be on my profile page)

Much like what the government does with unemployment statistics, this chart represents a 4-poll "rolling average" for the latest 20+ polls listed at RealClearPolitics.com (plus other recent national polls).

I also weighted the polls by their size. For example, a poll with a survey size of 1000 was weighted proportionately heavier than an 324 survey size.

Willard’s 25% put in ahead when there were 8 people on the stage. He held on as it melted; but now that the race is pretty much Willard versus Gingrich his same 25% won’t cut it.
“The dogs don’t like the food,” as the old joke goes.

Tokyo Rove and his RINO heard have run themselves over a cliff.

Mister Gingrich... PLEASE propose this idea...

The Super Committee failed to find a way to CUT $1.2 Trillion (over ten years)

which equals $120 Billion per year...

Extending the payroll tax cut another year will cost TWICE that amount - $240 billion.

The recession is over. It is time for those who HAVE JOBS to start funding Social Security again or else it will go bust.

HOWEVER, if we MUST keep this Social Security revenue cut, PAY FOR IT elsewhere.

Here is a way....

Let the US impose a Foreign Sales Tax on Imports equal to the average (tariff PLUS sales taxes) on OUR goods.

If for example, if US goods sold in foreign countries are subject to an average of 15% (tariff + sales tax) in those foreign lands, then return the favor, by subjecting all FOREIGN GOODS to an EQUAL 15% import sales tax.

Your premise is incorrect.
