Newt specifically states they will not be CITIZENS.

I’m not sure if Newt is tough enough on Illegals, but to be fair, he would NOT make them citizens - no voting rights.

Once the idea of legalizing has been conceded, there is no going back. It will invite more illegals and ensures nobody is leaving.
Newt’s legalization plan would be starting point, for the great compromise bill.

Courts and future admins can then easily fine-tune the details and somehow annesty always ends up larger than advertized.

Amnesty is the biggest threat to the future of the country, and especially conservatives. I cannot vote for open amnesty freak.
