Perry, yeah, I can see it. But Romney? He reminds me of a deparment store cooking knife salesmen or a carnival barker. "It slices, it peels, it quarters". "See little Egypt crawl on her belly like a reptile!".

Rick “send Congress home for half a year and cut their pay in half” Perry (Oh! And cut agencies and spending and litigation and regulations — with a Texas record of success to show how it works)!!

E-Verify works and is simple to use. I’m sorry, this is nothing but BS. Mr. Perry knows this and Texas should pass a law NOW to use E-Verify like my State of GA. If Texas would do their part to control illegal immigration, the other states would have less illegals. I would love to vote for Mr. Perry if he would stop speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

You’re loving on that BIG government — Federal mandates that place the burden (money and people) on the states because the Feds don’t want to seal the border. It places a burden on businesses (especially hard on small businesses) and it is very unreliable — people slip through and legal people get caught up in a mess.
The border must be sealed and the Federal give-away programs that draw them (and crush states’ budgets) stopped — enforce the laws don’t keep inventing new stupid tricks to keep the states running around wasting their time and money trying to deal with the fallout from BIG government hooks in our hides.

Exactly. Anyone who has more affection for illegal aliens than for fellow Americans will never get my vote.
Should we ever reach a point that illegal aliens are self deporting at a rate which exceeds new ones sneaking in and the number involved reaches some sufficiently small number (say, the three million or so in the 1986 amnesty), and those waiting to come here legally aren't pushed to the back of the line, then and only then does a discussion of amnesty become even remotely appropriate.
He was on Fox and Friends this weekend, although not talking about Perry but how he chased down the men who beat his service dog to death and shot it. They had the 9-11 call and he said "Hey I'm chasing these guys who just shot my dog, I'm doing about 110mph right now"

I think it is the “context” of their look that is troubling. They seem to be “pretty boys” in a way that Reagan wasn’t.
Reagan had a lot more behind his look. Most beautiful women are, well, beautiful. Some are Hedy Lamarr. Reagan was more like the latter.

E-verify checks that your name matches ssn and i guess your ssn identifies you as legal (citizen or green card holder).
It seems to work pretty well. Web interface and already in use.
It is eady, cheap method to check if prospective employee is legal. Not perfect, but helps a lot.

I’d love to see Gov.Perry come back. I wouldn’t have to worry about the Feds taking everything (especially guns)and he’s really very states rights.
