The problem with Newt is that he HAS to be liked by the DC elites....this is his acheilles heel.

If that were true he would have not accomplished what he did. Wouldn't have happened. It isn't about being liked or not..it's knowing how to get those who oppose you to your way of thinking and Newt does more than well at that.

Newt's voting record stood in favor of conservatism for the most part...and when otherwise he has explained why he has differed....or opposed...often times because he saw the larger picture which would have been unfavorable.

Certainly no politician has completely satisfied us all...and neither will Newt now or in the future. But Newt hasn't been sitting on the sidelines since he left Washington...he never really left. He's spoken out his entire career about issues and has been involved in the political issues all along.

Further there is a difference in Newt today then before....he's always been for our country and has been spending years working on how we can change the trajectory it's on..of which he identified even before Obama was in office.

I am certain Newt loathes Obama and what he stands for....and understands him as well as it's possible. I will vote for Newt because he is set to take Obama out of office...and has plans layed out on getting rid of the rest from day one and plans to accomplish that....additionally how he intends to turn the tide in Washington and put the breaks on this downward slide.

He hasn't just said what needs to be done...he's layed it out how to do this. No other candidate has such details nor plans outside of the usual talking points...Newts on a roll to get our country back..and that he'll even sacrifice his run if it means getting the word out to the people. He's not going to be stopped from that "mission".

Newt just flip-flopped on another issue...this time, abortion. This is his problem. He is such a “smart” man, but he can’t decide which positions to take on core Conservative issues. What has happened since he left office? BTW, saying that because he accomplished a lot during his time of speaker doesn’t mean squat if he can be easily swayed by the likes of Pelosi, etc. Newt is a slimy politician...he is no better than Romney. He is also the most unelectable of the group. Great, so he is “good debater”, but if I were the DNc, he’d be my first choice.
