Wasn't just you. I'm from NYC (4th generation), Irish, family full of Dems, strong union supporters - especially my father.
When Clinton got the nomination in 1990 my father almost died. He knew what a scumbag he was.
He eventually told me he voted for Perot (he'd NEVER vote GOP) and he was sorry until the day he died.
