Newt Gingrich’s statements at a CNN foreign policy debate that seemed to support the establishment of an amnesty program for illegal immigrants has drawn his opponents to the issue like sharks to chum.
While the roster of GOP presidential hopefuls has taken advantage of Gingrich’s proposals, none has been more tenacious in the attack than erstwhile media magnet, Michele Bachmann.
At an unexpected stop in South Florida Thursday, the one-time darling of the Tea Party continued her assault on Newt Gingrich on the issue of how to address the problem of illegal immigration.
Calling Gingrich an “influence peddler,” Bachmann touted her outsider status compared to that of career politician, Newt Gingrich.
Bachmann used the word “amnesty” when speaking of the plan proffered by the former Speaker of the House.

That headline should read “Bachman Announces Plan to Create Millions of Jobs for Americans”. The sub headline should read “Unemployment of Young African Americans Expected to Tumble as Jobs Open With Higher Wages.”
Yesterday, she was telling me how smart she was because she is an “insider”
One thing I know for sure is that she attacks anyone but Romney “at the drop of a hat”

Newt can threaten to do whatever,... once elected and then do what ever suits his fancy then.. YOU KNOW like Barry HAlf-White does now..
Bachmann WILL do what she says she will do.. BECAUSE she is a conservative..Newt ain’t..

I truly think that Michele believes that Romney will be the nominee and she is being his “hatchet man” to destroy the other candidates HOPING FOR THE VP SPOT. She did it to Pawlenty, Perry, Cain and now Newt. She is, as one lady on FOX called her, desperate. I started out liking her and seriously considered suppoting her. Now, I can hardly stand the sound of her voice.
That is a major problem. The first one of them to actually go after Mitt is going to win.
I wish she would expend as much effort attacking Democrats as she does her fellow candidates.

Can someone point me to her co-sponsored legislation to deport illegal aliens? Surely she has proposed at least a few bills that deport illegals, yes? Thanks!

Amen. I can’t comprehend why any true conservative would continue to bash the most consistently conservative candidate in the race, Michele Bachmann, while dancing around among the latest pseudo-conservative pro-amnesty fools, like Perry and Gin-Grinch.
Gee, maybe Bachmann is not just another politico running for Veep, OK? Maybe she really wants to turn things around in this country, threatened as it is by a commie revolution? Why support somebody who has spent decades cozying up to Left, like Newt? No one who posed with Nancy Pelosi has a clue what we are up against. Bachmann does.
