Fact is no way newt can beat Willard, hell newt is not on the ticket in several states. All newt and his supporters are doing, is making rove and Willard the most likely to win.

That’s why you should support Newt. Newt is by far the best choice to get us drilling in this country.

Energy policy

On energy policy, Gingrich is most closely associated with proposals that would increase domestic energy production, and with opposition to policies that would increase energy costs through regulation, taxation or international treaties that would limit energy production. He has described his approach to finding new domestic energy sources as an “’all of the above’ energy strategy”.[29] As Speaker of the House in 1998, Gingrich spoke out against a proposed federal gas tax.[30] He has repeatedly stated that creating new energy regulations and taxes during an economic downturn would be a “recipe for disaster”. Conversely, he has argued that lowering energy prices would create jobs and save Americans money.[31]

Ah, another n00b, come to FR to help us know whom not to vote for and whom to adore and whom to make smores for. Nice to see the invitations to the circular firing squad have a variation on theme.

You need to do something about that intentional ignorance problem you unknowingly display. Go ahead, tell me more lies about Gingrich. Especially the ones you have never researched before but make brash factual claims about.

I’m waiting.

Most oil reserves in the US are pretty heavily tapped already. The bottom line is that we need to develop alternative energy sources, after which we can sit back and watch the enemy Middle East regimes collapse when their single-point-of-failure economies collapse.

“Replace The Left”

On November 18, 2010, Gingrich delivered a speech before the Republican Governors Association Conference in San Diego outlining 12 steps for what he called a “Replacement of the Left” strategy. In his speech, Gingrich said that the Republican election day victories of 2009 and 2010 should be followed by further victories over the next two years that would give his party a large enough majority to replace what he called an increasingly leftist political system that has dominated American politics since 1932, largely through the influence of unelected bureaucracies. According to Gingrich, the strategy would be best pursued at the local level by lawmakers and activists in all 50 states rather than relying on leaders in Washington, D.C.[6]

The 12 steps cover economic issues and entitlement reform, as well as education reform from K-12 through the collegiate level, including a “parents right to know” standards in education notifications.[7] Specific steps address tying unemployment compensation to job training programs, replacing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) with state-based healthcare solutions and implementing ideas from business leaders to reduce the overall cost of government.[8]

In December 2010, Gingrich began hosting the first of five scheduled Internet seminars to educate state lawmakers across the country about how to begin implementing the strategy before the 2012 elections.[9

This guy is delusional. Nobody wants Mitt Romney. I can’t find a republican that will admit they are voting for Mitt. Get real. Its beginning to look a lot like Newt and the establishment just can’t accept it.

Forget the Washington Post, we will not let the media pick our favorite.

They already have picked our candidate for us.

They pushed Mrs. Palin out, then Mr. Cain was, and still is, being tossed out of the race.

The media have decided that it will be Gingrich or Romney. We had little to no choice in the matter, and the left is overjoyed that one of their own will be on the opposite side of the ticket next November.

Time to replace the Republican party.

Check out the comments on Romney in this article, such as:
Which leaves Mitt Romney, the eternal flip-flopper and runner-up, who by now is almost guaranteed to clinch the nomination, even though no one in his party seems to like or want him. He stiffly delivers his talking points, which may or may not contradict his previous positions. After all, he's been practicing this since 2008, when he failed to snag the nomination from John McCain. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As an investor, Romney once raked in millions and, like Cain, killed jobs along the way. So now he says he's the economy's savior. To prove that, he has presented an economic plan that the usually quite conservative business magazine Forbes has labeled "dangerous," asking incredulously, "About Mitt Romney, the Republicans can't be serious." Apparently they're not, but he is, running TV spots against Obama already, teeming with falsehoods.

Please name each of the several states.

State of Denial, State of Confusion, State of Inebriation...

I'm still in Cain's camp, but after reading Newt's new contract, there's not much to disagree with. My biggest beef is I would rather see someone end Social Security and Medicare rather than 'save' it, but I know that ain't gonna happen in the current political climate. The only issue would be holding his feet to the fire to make sure he doesn't wimp out if he's elected.

Well, yes, I do.

And yes, he’s my second choice.

My problem is that consistency and follow-through are not Newt’s middle names.

My other problem is his possible alliance with the greenies. I’m all for scientific advances and maybe someday we won’t be so dependent on oil.

But that’s way in the future. I know that Rick Perry would make it a priority and not just talk about it.

But if it comes down to Newt and the rest of the gang and Perry doesn’t get the hoped for bump, well, yeah, I’m for Newt.
