Cain accuser says he's not fit to be president
The Hill ^ | November 30, 2011 | Jonathan Easley

Posted on 11/30/2011 5:37:30 AM PST by maggief

In what could be a devastating blow to Herman Cain’s Republican presidential bid, Atlanta businesswoman Ginger White gave an interview to Good Morning America on Wednesday in which she divulged new details of her alleged 13-year-long affair with the candidate and panned Cain's suitability to be president.

“I can’t make this up,” White said. “And frankly speaking, I wouldn’t want to make this up.”

White said that Cain took her to a Mike Tyson-Evander Holyfield boxing match in the late 1990s, and said that the former president of the National Restaurant Association had given her money for “the last two and a half years consistently,” but that the money was “not sex for cash.”

White had previously alleged that Cain would fly her across the country and lavish her with gifts and expensive dinners. Cain denied the story, although White provided Fox 5 Atlanta, which broke her story, with phone and text-messaging records that detail dozens of correspondences — some very late at night — between White and Cain.

Cain claims White is looking to take advantage of their friendship for personal gain.

“I’m not sure what’s going on in his head right now,” White responded on Wednesday. “But it’s unfortunate that any of this is going on.”

White was asked if she thought Cain was fit to be president. “In my opinion, no I do not,” she said.

“I honestly do not think that he is, in my opinion, would make a good president, as far as I’m concerned. My views are different from his views, but at the end of the day this is not political – this is absolutely not political and I’ve never tried to make it out to be that,” said White.

“Does anyone else, besides me, notice White’s careful “tap-dancing” around any details of a physical act (sex) with Cain?”

Has she ever said it was a sexual relationship?

She’s also dancing around the lack of proof.

Only the gullible fans of Cain believe that he is guilty.

The non-gullible fans of Cain believe that he is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

A more pertinent question would be how many people has Cain helped over the years and in what way.

Money?

Jobs?

Asking someone else to give them a job or place them?

Remember he has hundreds if not thousands of contacts and that being a minister, he would get a constant stream of cry babies, down and outs and legitimate people in need.

And because of his many business connection, in the position of being able to help people who need it.

I am not defending him, just pointing out that he would by nature be in the middle of a lot of people looking for help.

He is very much Presidential, and it shows. Dragging down a good man and raising up a whore shows you are a weak male. I will not call you a weak man because you are not one.

I’m sorry but the defenses put out by Cain supporters here are ... weird.

The ‘she’s a slut and he paid her for sex’ defense has been used.

The ‘all the dems are womanizers and adulters too’ defense.

That’s come to be our standard?

I admire loyalty but this is beginning to verge on stupidity.

I’ve been accused of a lot of things, liberal being the kindest, I guess, because I believe that Cain has a woman problem.

The Cain people are incredible. This last woman they’ve tried to destroy by calling her trash. She’s not the most sterling character in the world, but she’s not a lawbreaker, she’s just had financial problems.

Her story about the affair was very credible and she has (according to Fox News this morning) over 80 text messages from (or to and from) Cain.

There were people on the Cain thread saying stuff like ‘oh, I have a bunch of text messages to casual friends also.’

Please, give me a break. Cain is not a teenager to be dashing off text messages like crazy to everyone.

And then, these people are like, so what, I don’t care, people have sex.

What has this man done to inspire such blind and stupid loyalty. He’s done nothing. He came up from poverty but so did Rick Perry. He was a moderately successful businessman, an almost unknown talk show guy and had a job with the government involving math.

So that qualifies him to be president?

No, the thing that qualified him in the minds of his supporters was the kindly grandfather pose, the super conservative guy, faithful churchgoer and faithful husband.

With that image gone, he’s got nothing.

Just yesterday he dashed off a note asking for money, using phrases like ‘a disturbed woman’ and ‘promulated’ a story.

Who says ‘promulgated.’ It’s not in my every day vocabulary. He’s always using words like that to make himself sound smart, I guess.

Look, I defended him against the first 5 women, although I was a little taken aback by his behavior at that speech he was paid to make, not by the fact that he tried to get a dinner date with one of the attractive women but by the fact that after two of his female hosts agreed to go to dinner with him to distract him from his original choice, he ordered two bottles of $400 wine and left the two women with the bill.

Now, that’s just tacky.

I agree with your statement.

My husband has longtime business associates that he sometimes doesn't hear from unless they are looking for a job and need his help.

I can see Cain helping a lot of people and thinking he was really doing something good. To have those people turn on him for a little money or Cindy Sheehan type, fleeting fame would be devastating, I would think.

But, I could see it happening.....*sad*

I can send you a text, providing I have your number, at any time of the day or night.

Whether or not you reply at that time is the question, and if so why and what was it about?

Was it about sex? Or was the reply because you suspected the person might need help at that hour...like someone who had threatened suicide, or in jail and need bail, a problem with a stalker, etc.

People who are con artists usually have a story of some kind to go with it.

Until all of the facts are known, condemning Cain is evil.

He is one of the most successful in the field of slander/libel.

Nevertheless, he rolled a gutter ball yesterday.

“but at the end of the day this is not political” .............................................. Riiiiiight! you might say that; “This has been a paid political announcement!” it has all the dressings and timing, but by whom? HERMAN CAIN, WHAT A STUD! He can probably fix the economy and take blacks off the plantation, but his trysts would make him unqualified? 4 of the Democrat Icons, JFK, RFK, EMK, and Clinton had no problem with affairs and mysterious deaths, but Cain is Taboo? The biggest whore Masters of Politics are OK if they are Democrats. This is becoming too obvious. They, MSM/DNC are crapping in their pants over the thought of Cain taking a portion of the plantation vote if he gets nominated. Cain must be eliminated at all costs!

Well, I don’t think it’s evil to have doubts about Cain and the possibility (strong possibility) that he has a gal problem.

Evil is a pretty strong word to use.

I haven’t damned him to hell... I just don’t believe him on this woman thing.

And I really think that his supporters would do well ... would do very well ... to hold back on their donating and their impassioned support for a few days.

Wait and see. something will come out that proves her story or it will not.

If it does, you will have wasted your good selves on someone who has betrayed you.

All I’m sayin’

My fiancee’s sister called a little while ago and said the woman has gotten a book deal as of last week so thats why she’s on every TV show today. Its all about money but sadly its probably going to ruin Herman’s campaign.

I’m not condemning Cain. He was my candidate. I went to a fundraiser for him, have his bumper on my car...
I had the honor of meeting him and told him to stay strong and that we are with him.

But for a number of reasons, his campaign is probably going to end...and very soon.

I’ve had this tag line since Perry entered the race.

I’m not ashamed of my candidate but that is not why I feel about Cain as I do.

It’s easy to dismiss me because I’m a Perry supporter, but why don’t you think about what I said.
