There was a time not so long ago when Massachusetts Democrats held outsized political sway in Washington.

and

While Southern and Southwestern states have experienced population booms, Massachusetts has seen anemic growth, leading to the loss of one of its 10 seats in Congress.

Gee, ya think there might be a connection?

“Instead, some of the state’s best-known political figures are now Republicans, among them Sen. Scott Brown and presidential candidate Mitt Romney.”

RINOs, more like, but that’s the best you’re going to do in The People’s Republic of Taxachusetts.

I heard on WLS-AM that now that he’s leaving, his seat is wide open and that he’s been hit in the face by more balls than a major league baseball player.

He’s not really going anywhere. He’ll still be screwing us without the coverage of the media as a lobbyist.

Maybe psychotic, Progressive Democrats will not be returning to Congress in large numbers.

(One can only hope they move to Cuba.)

IMHO

Mass. Dems Ponder Bleak Future

The future's fantastic I thought. Nancy Pelosi has said she expects to get her speaker's gavel back in January 2013. She knows what she's talking about, doesn't she?

Don't worry, Mass lefties! Elizabeth Warren will charm those independents with her oh-so convincing facade that she is your average (six-figure salaried, Hahvard-lawyering, socialism-licking, Obama appointee) soccer mom. Why, she taught those nice Occupy Wall Street folks everything she knew (which apprarently did not extend to the utility of toilet paper)!

They write like Barney was somebody to be proud of.

He was never that.

Ed Markey's probably going to get Frank's airtime, if he's up for it.

Maybe, the people of Massachusetts are finally starting to grow up. Baby steps, baby steps....

"For a long time, Massachusetts Democrats have felt they played a special role in the destruction of America," said Tufts University political science professor Jeffrey Berry. "I think that has gone at this point."

We can only hope!!

"One of the advantages to me of not running for office is that I don't even have to pretend to be nice to people I don't like," the famously acerbic Frank said.

That works both ways, Barney.

When you give up your house seat, you lose a lot of perks, too. If there's any justice in the world, you'll have to stand in line at airport and get groped like a commoner (though that might not bother you much).

You might have to wait for a table at a tony restaurant, and they'll actually expect you to pay the bill, too!

And you'll find there aren't near as many girly men eager to play your nasty games...

Wait a minute, what am I saying? You've probably skimmed millions of dollars over the years, so little has changed.

Hope you don't mind paying for it YOURSELF for a change.

Frank says that he’d like to “do some combination of writing, teaching, and lecturing”

Translation: He’s going to give lectures at the Kennedy School of Government on how to work the system

Massachusets is pretty much the eastern region ground zero for ultra leftoids.

I’m sure they will have no trouble at all coming up with another democrat politician who is a flaming queen with a 3 gallon drool.

You know, I was feeling pretty happy when I heard Frank was leaving. Giddy even! I was on my way to celebrating when I saw the Mass. Dems crying in their beer....and then I felt...EVEN BETTER!

Good Riddance!
1. Barney “I’m Pimpin’ in DC” Frank, had 1989 gay prostitution occurring from his residence...nice. A Dem controlled House naturally let him off for a reprimand for this and for fixing his boy toy’s parking tickets using House privileges.

2. Frank’s gay partner, Herb Moses, was also director of Fannie Mae, the quasi-governmental mortgage giant. Moses and Frank successfully lowered lending standards for sub-prime borrowers and began the spiraling mortgage crisis that morphed into a global economic crisis yet to run its course. Luckily though, the Dems named Barney and his crooked Senate counterpart, Chris Dodd, to “reform” the American financial industry with the infamous Dodd-Frank bill. Good Job Bawny!

3. Ted Kennedy?...there’s not enough time to write a sufficiently damning evisceration of “Ted the Swimmer” so I’ll simply say that he left a young girl to suffocate in the black water of Chappaquiddick just to save his own ass. The Dems and the voters let him get away with murder. No way he should have continued on as a US Senator. He should’ve been wearing an orange jumpsuit.

4. John “Winter Soldier” Kerry was the louse who compared our G.I.s as “reminiscent of ‘Gennnnjiss Khaaaaan’ in their fondness for committing atrocity. He raised himself up by denigrating an entire generation of Vietnam Vets. He’s a guy that docks the mega-yacht his wife bought for him, in a state other than his own, just to beat the taxes. What a putz.

Yeah, the Pilgrim State has really slid for the last few decades. But they produced a lot of greats over the long term...maybe it’s time for a comeback.
