Your rhetorical questions are not unsound, but they are a non sequitur with respect to a hardworking people.

Are they too trusting? Naive even? Too willing to believe those really are public servants they’ve been voting for all these years? Yes, yes, and yes.

So maybe it’s the republic part you find questionable. So do I. However, the institutions of the republic ARE strong. What you and I may agree not to like is that the institutions have had their goals redirected. Heh.

Og is insisting that the situation is too far gone for voting to matter. Do you agree or disagree with his assessment? Such as: “Now witness the firepower of this fully ARMED and OPERATIONAL battle station.”

"Og is insisting that the situation is too far gone for voting to matter. Do you agree or disagree with his assessment?"

I definitely disagree.

However, any faith I ever had in the inherent genius of the U.S. electorate ended abruptly in 2008.

Furthermore the power of the vote can be expected to be attenuated even more than it already has been by massive election fraud, especially in the 2012 election. The Democrats' objection to proof of citizenship is nothing but a cover for election fraud. And you can bet the Democrat politicians in office now will not leave without a fight--a very dirty fight.

On the other hand, an enlightened electorate could kick every one of those corrupt politicians out of office forthwith--and impeach every one of those corrupt judges.

No. It's not to late for voting to matter. The problem is voter enlightenment, and so far there doesn't seem to be enough.

In asking those questions I was not being facetious. If America has a ruling class of corrupt politicians and their operatives--and she does--it's the fault of the American people.

Thugs like the politicians and their henchpersons who are running the U.S. into the ground have been around since before the dawn of history, and they will no doubt always be around--like insects, snakes, parasites, and pathogenic microorganisms.

If the American people allow them to take over the U.S.A.--and they have allowed this--then its the fault of the American people.

The American people could throw those thugs out of Washington right away.

People get the kind of government they demand--and deserve.
