The most jobs created from this construction will be in Hollywood as the film industry will strt cranking out high-speed rail disaster movies one after another.
Yup.The US Transportation Department and California see no reason to spend the money to upgrade freeways, build new segments and upgrade airport runways to handle increased demand.
Instead, they’ll waste a $1 billion dollars laying rail road track for rolling stock that’ll never run on it and which no one will get to ride.
Hey, its only taxpayers money to the tune of $1 billion dollars.
California is beyond stupid!
Its just cheaper to fly from LA to Fresno. There’s no need for the bullet train to do what air travel can already fulfill cheaper and faster.
I can only conclude Ray LaHood is the dumbest Secretary Of Transportation we’ve ever had!

So people can leave tax heavy California quicker or to help them gamble more in Vegas than with the local Indians?
High speed rail is obsolete 19th technology. Despite the fact no one wants to ride this bullet train, liberals insist on ramming it down Californians’ throats - regardless of whether or not a market demand actually exists for it.

Is that a rail line that is operated one way to the border only?
If so, it may be a worthwhile endeavor in the long run.
No - its for track in the middle of nowhere between two rural towns with no population to speak of - unless you count the inmates at the state prison in Corcoran! Truly the bullet train to nowhere!
Heh

Like He!!. If anything, California's population will decline. People and businesses are leaving CA like rats deserting a sinking ship. And speaking of sinking...
