Mexican soldiers hit the jackpot when they carried out a surprise search of a car in the unruly border town of Tijuana and found $15 million plus jewels and drugs stashed inside.
The haul, uncovered on Friday, most likely belonged to one of the country's notorious drug cartels, the defense ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
Showing the money off to the press, officials said it was believed that the cash was being transferred to a house used by members of the criminal gang headed by Joaquin Guzman," known by his alias as "El Chapo" and one of the most wanted men in Mexico.

Which means they actually found $50 or 100 million.

Don't let Jon Corzine see that pile of dough, he'll snag it.
They both conducted the search and reported what they found? I'm impressed. Promote every soldier involved, give them each a huge bonus, perhaps 1% (to teach the others that they can still get rich while being honest), and tell them to keep up the good work.
not sure if this is posed on fr already.. money flying all over the place..
Man leaves a million bucks at Italian restaurant

SYDNEY, (AP) — ..
Police are looking for the owner of a suitcase “full of money” that was left at the Italian restaurant in Sydney by a mystery customer.
Ten Network television reported the suitcase left at Cafe Marco Tuesday morning contained about 1 million Australian dollars ($1 million) in 50 dollar notes.
..
.. a man around 30 years old wearing surfing shorts and a singlet carried the suitcase into the cafe. He then “seemed to get spooked” and left without the money.
The stash was actually part of a payoff to Eric Holder & Baraq 0bama for weapons funneled to the cartels under Fast & Furious.
My first thought is “$15 million in one car trip, why didn’t they split it up?”
My second thought is “Maybe they did.”
I herd nobody stepped up and bought Solyndra so it’s officially headed to the scrapyard.. another Socialist GReen Success Story..
“Walkin’ around money.” Betcha’ everybody in the room sprouted eyes in the back of their heads after that seizure.
My thoughts exactly.
They probably turned in 10%
I attended DINFOS at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in 1981 for the Broadcast Journalist course. All 5 services were trained there. The Coast Guardsmen that I knew all drove expensive sports cars, while I had a crappy Chevy Nova. We were the same pay grade (E-4) so something was up.
I’d like to see the bling and weapons .. quite a haul.
The federales are usually honest. Its state and local cops who are notoriously corrupt. In Mexico, few of the latter earn anywhere near a decent income and they have to supplement it by taking money under the table. No one could survive if they played by the rules. Graft is the only thing that makes anything in Mexico work well.
Sorry I came to this thread looking for a different kind of bust. Sorry. Never mind.
i’ll bet on one dead snitch soon
How ticked off do you think Juaquin is? LOL!!!
