Two super interviews in a row for Rick Perry. He is so head and shoulders above any of the other candidates.
I can’t understand why he isn’t higher in the polls.
I’m actually getting scared about Romney which I never was because we have these flavor of the day candidates sucking up all the air in the room when basically their obvious, underlying flaws will eventually rule them out (IMO)
One thing I've noticed in these debates is the moderators tend to design the questions to help Romney make his case, while posing more accusatory questions to people like Perry, Bachmann, etc. It seems to me that Perry gets the worst questions (consistently) while Romney and Gingrich are given better questions.
For example, they will ask a "new" question to Romney and Gingrich such as, "Let's turn now to the economy. What would you do as president to create more jobs?"
The questions to Perry tend to be follow-up in nature, or accusatory. Such as, "Governor Perry, you just heard Mitt Romney suggest that your proposals won't work, is Governor Romney wrong?"
Or, "Governor Perry, an ABC News report shows Texas has the highest amount of uninsured residents. How can you say Texas is doing well when your state has the worst record of all 50 states on insuring the poor?"
Maybe I'm jaded, but that's how each one of these debates comes across to me. They never change. Its the same protocol in each debate.
