Cain defies political odds as campaign stands strong
The Hill ^ | 18 November 2011 | Justin Sink

Herman Cain has defied the political odds so far in the face of campaign adversity, and it looks as if he has the GOP’s conservative base to thank for it.

The last month of Cain’s presidential campaign has read like a textbook for how to doom a candidacy: having to deny allegations of sexual harassment, bungling important foreign-policy questions while saying he’s not “supposed to know anything” on the subject, releasing a bizarre Web ad and canceling an editorial board meeting with a key New Hampshire newspaper.

And yet, in an Iowa State University poll released Thursday, the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO remains the top choice of voters in the state, garnering nearly a quarter of voters. A Bloomberg News poll on Tuesday found him locked in a four-way tie for first among Iowa voters. He’s also maintained his top-tier status in most national polls and is fundraising at a record pace...

Some LibDem or RINO jack*ss had THIS to say in response to this very good article:

"Boy, right wingers must be desperate for leadership if Herman Cain is the best they can come up with. The guy's an unmitigated idiot. I would never trust this man to make such vital decisions a president must, especially when it comes to sending troops into battle. Cain's remarks indicate that he thinks running for President is all some kind of joke. Besing (sic) President is a serious endeavor. He needs to grow up and respect that."

Folks, the verdict is in.

Their nuts are being frosted. They don't like this a BIT.

A lib is claiming Cain is dumb and the Cretin-in-Chief is not?

Is this the same Cretin-in-Chief that hides his academic records, his birth records, his passports, and has a SSN originally listed for a dead American... from a state he’s never lived in?

Is this the same Cretin-in-Chief that thinks we have 57 states, that they speak Cuban in Cuba, and conducts foreigh policy like a baby with cholic?

Is the same Cretin-in-Chief that bows to anything that f*rts?

And Cain is the dumb one?

Bwahahahahahahah!!!!

Haha!!! Like THEIR current Soros Shoeshine Boy is a genius, right? That feckless Douchebag is L-O-S-T without a teleprompter and his Marxist handler du jour writing out his canned propaganda for him.

Herman is a giant middle finger to the left, isn’t he...and they HATE him for it.

Go Herman, go!

In November 2007, McCain had only 13.8% while Thompson had 15.5% and Guiliani 29.1%

A few short, months later in March, Guiliani had slipped into non-existant numbers while McCain rose to 56.7%, Huckabee 26.3%, and poor Ron Paul at 6.5%.

Cains numbers will certainly increase. Perry needs to forget it as does Romney. They argue back and forth like little girls in need of their mouths washed out with soap. Newt is the only other actual choice if something happens to Cain’s numbers.

Ms. Laura Ingraham is IN THE TANK for Governor Romney. 完全に利益相反 is what the Japanese would say about her.

She wants to deny Herman Cain the GOP Nomination pure and simple. If I were a conservative tempted to listen to her take, folks, I would turn her off. She runs Rovian-type stuff and then laughs and makes fun of him. Her staff in the background laugh and giggle like little schoolchildren, too. Petty sniping and detracting of Cain. Day in. Day out. I have not heard her do this to His Royal Romneyness, somebody correct me? She somehow has it in for Herman Cain to sideline him for 2012 in the worst way, an IMHO is part of the whole collusive bipartisan establishment Beltway Rigged System, if you ask me. See, somebody backchannels and plants the smear(s), someone else comes along and stirs the shit storm per script, and then somebody else is on the Wurlitzer in the background replaying and replaying so as to form a negative narrative and branding against the target and victim. It is sheer Alinskyist in nature and shame on her. She accuses people of being equivocating "but" monkeys, but she is one of the biggest "but" monkeys out there..."Oh, Herman is a great guy, but HE CANNOT WIN, or HE FLUBS UP, yada yada yada." At least she could make an attempt to disguise her RINO disdain and agenda a little more clearly. Most of us are hep to her tricks and allegiances and are not buying any of it.

The establishment Republicans, including Rove, Hannity, Malkin and Ingraham want Mitt to be the nominee.

They are Republicans first and conservatives when it suits them.

You must be dumb and stupid to run 5 major outfits SUCCESSFULLY. Yap, now it is a proven fact beyond shadow of any doubt that unless you are dumb and stupid, you can never succeed as a top officer at Coca-cola, Burger-King, Godfather's Pizza, National Restaurant association, Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. And you gotta be a total dumbo to serve US Navy as a rocket scientist. Herman Cain is the living proof of my prognostication./S

Absolutely.

We MUST vanquish them, too.

And, at the end of the day, THERE ARE FAR MORE OF US, THAN THEM.

I hold none of these people in any sacrosanct way, when they behave in this manner. They are all expendable (politically) in my book as far as I am concerned, conservative or not, eloquent or not, loved by millions or not. They will NOT TELL ME WHO TO VOTE FOR on their national shows, by inference nor by innuendo.

How could ANYBODY have a come-back to that, f_r. Brilliant. Funny. And TRUE. Point well taken. Herman Cain is in fact a stellar thinker of a man, not only w/ high level 49 dimensional chess class, but also common sense, with clear and digestible language for the average person out there. Truly carrying the Ronald Reagan message of hope 30 years later to a wounded nation.

Just one problem. Republican voters in general are not as informed as are FReepers. Many decide who they will vote for based on what they hear on shows like Hannity, Ingraham, etc. So these talking heads do and will have an influence on who Republicans vote for in the primaries. It’s a sad state of affairs but it is true. We just have to hope we can defeat them and their efforts.
