Cain was making a scheduled appearance in a Cuban area most of whom vote Republican, and Cain did not know about the issues that would be important to the Cuban community.
This is not a foreign policy issue. It is an American issue and I didn’t consider it a gotcha question.
The good people surrounding Cain either didn’t prep themselves, or failed to prep Cain before he spoke. That says something to me about the people he would surround himself with.
I would have liked for Cain to have been more prepped for these issues as well.
That said, reading the article, there seemed to be plenty of Cubans who were enthusiastic about Cain.
