They said the same of the Volga Germans a century ago, before sending them to labor camps.
I believe it was Stalin who did that. He also destroyed hundreds of Orthodox Churches that today's Russians are rebuilding.
Judging them by Stalin doesn't really work.
You know enough of history to have heard that there were "Volga Germans", but not a single substantial fact.
There were millions of German settlers invited in to settle the lands but that was in the mid to late 1700s, 250 years ago, NOT "a century ago".
And the same Christian Russian Empire that invited them in 250 years ago was no longer in existence when the anti-Christian tyrant Stalin tried to destroy all that was good in that society, including the industrious Volga Germans and the tens of millions of others. But that's what demon-possessed tyrants do.
I'll bet you don't even know that Stalin was neither born in Russia nor ethnic Russian, so it's even more absurd to imply that "they" invited in some people, then tried to kill them later. They were two diffent worlds, separated by 200 years.
