Fifth woman raises questions about Cain's behavior
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/7/2011 | Susan Ferrechio

A former employee of the United States Agency for International Development says Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain asked her to help arrange a dinner date for him with a female audience member following a speech he delivered nine years ago.

Donna Donella, 40, of Arlington, said the USAID paid Cain to deliver a speech to businessmen and women in Egypt in 2002, during which an Egyptian businesswoman in her 30s asked Cain a question.

"And after the seminar was over," Donella told The Washington Examiner, "Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, 'Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?'"

Donella, who no longer works for USAID, said they were suspicious of Cain's motives and declined to set up the date. Cain responded, "Then you and I can have dinner." That's when two female colleagues intervened and suggested they all go to dinner together, Donella said.

Cain exhibited no inappropriate sexual behavior during the dinner, though he did order two $400 bottles of wine and stuck the women with the bill, she said.

The next time the women heard from Cain was Christmas, when he sent them his gospel CD.

Donella said she felt it was important to describe her encounter with Cain after hearing more serious allegations of sexual harassment brought by other women.

"I couldn't swear that he had some untoward intentions, but we all thought his tone was suspect and we didn't feel comfortable putting him in touch with that woman," Donella recalled.

"I think [Cain] should not be a serious candidate for the presidential nomination because of what I've seen," said Donella, an independent who said she voted for President Obama in 2008 and probably will again next year. "He's not a person I would want running the country."

Cain's campaign did not immediately respond to inquiries from The Examiner.

Thank you, Donella, for making your inherent biases quite clear.

This is getting to be ridiculous (as if it wasn’t already). Now, this woman says she didn’t see anything sexually inappropriate, but they made an ASSUMPTION of his intent? Does this mean I can go back through my life and accuse men who’ve “looked at me funny”, or invited me to dinner with sexual harassment??? (Not that I would - I’ve always considered being approached by interested men as a COMPLIMENT, not that they were interested in assaulting me! There’s a HUGE difference.)

These women make those of us who really HAVE been through SERIOUS sexual assault/harassment look SO bad! It’s no wonder it’s so hard to prove these things, and that ALL real victims are usually put under a high-powered microscope. These accusations do NOTHING to “empower” women. Being overly sensitive isn’t doing other women any favors...

And this surprises who about her allegiences?

The left’s created attacks against a black conservative really shows (again) what kind of people they truly are.

They don’t like Cain because he is not on their plantation and leading in polls.

Sadly, this is another attack from the “right.”

And it’s responses like yours that cause problems. Get a grip on one thing, there will always be claims and counter-claims, but there are also witnesses. It’s not always the “lying beaches” making the claims. Sometimes, at least in my experience it’s “truth-telling people” who step up. I like Herman, but be careful about trashing women. It makes you sound disgruntled and poorly endowed.

So far Herman’s my fave.

Bialek is about to be torn to shreds on cross-examination. They have to get another one out there ASAP. This is getting comical.

Oh my this is the lamest one yet. Ok the lady from Chicago is one thing though it clearly sounds a bit unreal. Also we should be able to confirm with her ex-boyfriend etc at least some of the details in the Bialek allegation. I think she should give up his name so he can comment or contradict her. Hopefully the Cain team can track him down. I’m glad Cain has scheduled a Press conference tomorrow. He does need to address this.

$400 bottles of wine! Well, you must have a receipt for this. My bank has the ability to do this. Also, you might have pictures of that memorable night too. Otherwise, it seems your story is just ... flimsy and a bit lame. I hope you enjoyed Cain’s wine.

A website post about Donella hanging out in the DC social scene with another woman wearing a sexually suggestive, tight t-shirt...

"Looking for Attention? Try Single Tease!"

"...Never heard of Single Tease? Well, you may have actually seen these t-shirts before.  The company was able to get Mariah Carey to wear one of the shirts in her “Touch My Body” video. The shirt said, “Boy Scouting (are you prepared?)...

...I got the “Ask Me (out)” t-shirt, and I can vouch that these work! I’ve had some people tell me that I can be a bit intimidating, and seem unapproachable. I’m not sure if this is true or not, but I do know that the first time I wore my Single Tease I got much more attention than usual.

I went to brunch at Busboys and Poets in Shirlington with Donna Donella. We were sitting at the counter talking and enjoying our breakfast when a man started chatting with us from the end of the bar. Later, the man who turned out to be a pilot actually got up and asked for my business card...

You will definitely attract attention in these shirts, although wear them with caution..."

“Sadly, this is another attack from the “right.” “

That is quite probable, but I was referring more to the accusers and you know the lefty media is going to run it as hard as they can.

What a dumb ass! This stupid broad is in a party as a handler for a headline speaker for USAID. A Speaker they spent at least 10K just for first class tickets and a suite in Egypt. He takes a Q & A and wants his handler to invite a questioner to dinner with the group of USAID people and she thinks it is inappropriate for him to want a little discussion with a local.

He also, gasp, ordered two expensive wines, presumably drunk by the USAID group and expects them to actually pay for them.

What a pant load of horse shit this is becoming. He got paid at least $50 k for the speech and was given expenses, first class at least and she thinks he is inappropriate for not helping to pay for a meal that the group had. What a pathetic douche bag this broad is.

I am beginning to think, just for fun, that hundreds of THOUSANDS of conservative women who support Cain or who are donating around the USA pick up the phone and anonymously start FLOODING MSA/Government Controlled Media news outlets with whisper reports that Herman Cain “glanced at me”, “Herman Cain bought be a burger at MacDonalds” (can I get some money for that? Isnt THAT harrassment? I’m two months behind on my rent), “Herman Cain opened an office door for me and winked”, “Herman Cain picked up my purse when I spilled the contents and said “Givenchy” is a good brand while we were scraping the fallen contents back up”, “I spilled a Pepsi in the office and he handed me his handkerchief to mop it up”, “Herman referred to my newborn daughter as “sweet thing” when I showed him a picture”..etc. etc. etc.....just absolutely flood them with all kinds of stupid, over the top and scurrillous accounts, without a name, and flood the libs lines, so as to completely drown out all these false accusers coming forth for their 10 minutes of fame. Flood. Flood. Flood. Just water it all down and turn it into a big national joke, flip it, and even lead into it with kneeslappers as warm up jokes at Cain rallies. Turn the negative energy back around upon itself. It’s worth a try. It’s thinking out of the box. Just drown out all these women and Cain will be able to get back on message as people just laugh them off as overkill and get tired of it. Media fatigue it to death by turning their own tactics on them, by reverse-Saul-Alinsky’ing it somehow. Just brainstorming. Kind of an “I am Spartacus” thing. ;-)
