Clip a few teachers off the payroll, and you have plenty of money to buy laptops. If parents are going to get taxed anyway; might as well be for something worthwhile...
It never works that way though. If the kids are getting laptops than you might as well keep them at home and teach them there.
I am a teacher, and this won’t result in cost savings. *sigh*. It appears the ability to actually go out and teach a class is going the way of the dinosaur.
