This is an issue that has not been explored. I wonder how many conservatives have let the Rat accusations of racism become internalized, in spite of their knowledge to the contrary, and are fighting to prove their innocence?

It would be very hard to have a discussion like that here or on most other politics forums. I think you are on to something, but I doubt it can be debated without venom and hatred flying almost immediately.
