The underway replenishment vessels bother me. This isn’t a coastal defense navy. This is projection of national power into any corner of the world they want. For the past 60 years or so, that was our exclusive domain. Seems the Chicoms read Mahan.

Yep...they have taken several surface action groups into the Arabian Sea and clear off of Somalia in "anti-pirating" exercises. They are gaining more and more influence and interests in Africa and Sout America.
