RE: Jindal may run for senate sometime, but he knows he is not even close to being natural born.

Is there a constitutional requirement for a Senator to be natural born?

There is no requirement...and yes, there has been talk about Jindal for senate..he's term limited, so the timing is right for him to challenege Landrieu in 2014.

However, I think he might get tapped as HHS secretary..and he'd do a superb job..but not sure if he wants to leave LA right now..

You have to be natural born to be President and Vice President.

Every other elective and appointive federal office is open to all American citizens, native born and naturalized, alike.

Miss read my statement, I said he may run for senate, he does not meet the requirements for higher elected office. I believe he has already said that himself.
