"The radio talkers were avoiding this yesterday, trying to use this as an attack on the MSM and liberal hypocrisy"

Not so. In their analysis of the situation both Mark Levin and Rush said that "it was also possible" that the campaigns of the Republican front runners may not have clean hands in this.

In fact, on his show last night, Levin said that both campaigns should question their staffers on this to determine if any of them were involved.

I actually heard a lot of both those shows yesterday. On Rush, it came up from a caller, and my recollection is that Rush discounted it, and kept his sights on the MSM. That's a predictable reaction from Rush. That's his M.O. to keep his attacks focused on the MSM and liberals.

Levin basically took the same approach. "It's possible." But to me it's more than possible--it's probable. I can't see why liberals would play this card now. They would save it for later. The motive for this is with Cain's GOP rivals.

Romney would be my suspect. He's got the money. He's got the liberal tendencies. And he's not above dirty tricks. Perry and Bachmann would also be suspects, as they also have much to gain if Cain falters.

I can see no reason why the left would play this card now. Can't think of a single reason.

This is silly. That's like saying Don Corleone should question Sonny, Mike, and Fredo to see if they've been bribing politicians. Whatever campaign did this did so knowingly.

Here's Limbaugh. He basically discounts it, and pivots:

I suppose that it's possible that a Republican could be behind this. I doubt it because The Politico was used. If a Republican were behind this, I think a different publication would have been used. This is so liberal. Watch these people, listen to these people talk about a campaign commercial with a guy puffing on a cigarette. These people, I'm gonna tell you something, the American left and the Democrat Party and the media are so out of the mainstream of life in this country, while at the same time thinking they define it. Who but a bunch of absolute crazed feminazis could go nuts here over gestures?

Sorry to keep pinging you...hope you don't mind. Read Limbaugh's quote. It makes NO sense. If a GOPer were behind this, would he want his/her fingerprints on it? What's he gonna do? Go to National Review??

It makes perfect sense to me that a GOP campaign would do this through liberal channels. Hell, they could send an anonymous tip from a Gmail account! Of course it's made to look like it's coming from the left.

And maybe it is. I just can't think of a reason why they would do it. Unless you think the left wants to take Cain out. I don't believe that at all. I think they'd love to face Cain.
