THE BRAINS - KARL ROVE
The Guardian ^ | March 8, 2004 | Julian Borger

By his own account, Rove's sights are set even further into the future than Bush's re-election. He has spoken about strategic shifts of power that happen every so often in American history. The precedent he often refers to was set over a century ago by William McKinley, another Republican with brilliant advisers, who narrowly defeated a populist Democrat (William Jennings Bryan) in 1896 and established a Republican hegemony that lasted more than three decades.

Thanks to rove, I no longer consider myself a Republican.
I am one hundred percent tea party.

He has trashed every tea party candidate.
Most if us could give two poops what he has to say anymore.

Good article. Rove might have been a factor in Bush’s election, but he is also the one who kept quiet when Bush need vocal support. Now, Rove won’t shut up.

Rove is about Rove. He’s another version of Dick Morris.

Ultimately, it’s all about him. He needs to stay relevant, but he can’t get too far away from establishment type Republican positions because he knows where his bread and butter is coming from.

If (I pray WHEN) Cain wins, Rove will be willing to crawl a mile over broken glass for the chance to buff Cain’s shoes with his hair.
