Correct. The occupy movement is the latest version of the 60s counter-culture and the 70s punk crowd.
OWS is both a look at the past and a glimpse into the future. It is the fruit borne from the seeds planted by the always busy and energetic liberal left and fertilized by the laziness or indifference of the rest of America who have largely ignored the left and gone about the business of running businesses and raising families over the last six decades.
While much of the country was thinking that this liberal gobble-de-gook and psycho babble was mostly nonsense it has incrementally crept into every facet of our lives.
The little steps they have continued to make that seemed insignificant at the time have added up to an irreversible problem for our society. The minority has become the mainstream majority. While we have collectively ignored the advance of this conglomeration of hippie rebirth and its Marxist undertow we have also allowed our congress to become so corrupt that they have, for the most part, become unaccountable to the rule of law and the constitution of America.
Even now as many of us see the damage done and the dark future we face, most of our efforts are limited to blog rants, forwarded email jokes and few bucks for campaign contributions here and there.
Meanwhile every school board, city council, county government, planning commission, local environmental committee, local newspaper, little league, soccer league and community organization is largely comprised of liberals. The same applies for most of the people taking the time to attend their meetings or respond to them in writing.
The fact is that until we physically and noticeably get involved in every way possible, we are going to continue down the slippery slope.
A lot of damage has been done, a lot of repair is needed and judging from the trends of the last few years, even with the horrible example being set for us by Barack Obama and his legions, it seems that an effort to diligently engage in a cause dear to us is not readily at hand.
Conservatives, by and large, are used to big efforts and quantifiable results delivered in measurable deadlines. Results must be seen and evaluated.
Liberals are driven by being engaged in the effort of deconstructive transformation. That objective may ebb and flow or change it course from time to time, but they are content with in their continuing effort of simply wearing down their opponents with what they see as the eternal struggle for changing our way of life to something else ...anything else.
OWS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU IGNORE LOGIC AND SURRENDER INDIDIVUALITY....
OR MORE LIKELY WHEN WELL MEANING PARENTS ABANDONED INFANTS TO EARLY DAY CARE IN WHICH THEY DEVELOPED PRE RATIONAL FEARS, NEEDS AND EMOTIONS BASED ON HELPLESSNESS AND RAGE. AS FOR THEIR INDIVIDUALITY, THAT WAS SURRENDERED FOR THEM BY THOSE SELFSAME PARENTS WHO DROPPED THEM OFF AT DAY CARE WHERE HELPLESS HUMAN BEINGS WERE LEFT FOR 8 HOURS A DAY, WEARHOUSED AND WAITING. THEY MIGHT HAVE SURVIVED THOSE UNFORTUNATE BEGINNINGS TO BECOME HAPPY AND PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY, BUT SCHOOL TEACHERS, BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, COMBINED WITH OUR HOLLYWOOD THOUGHT LEADERS DID THE REST. THUS WE HAVE THE UNQUENCHABLE RAGE, THE PRIMAL DEMANDS, THE MANIFEST INABILITY TO FORM AND EXPRESS RATIONAL, UNDERSTANDABLE THOUGHTS, THE CONFUSION, THE BREATHTAKING LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, OR ANY SENSE OF SHAME EXHIBITED BY FURIOUS OWS EXHIBITIONISTS. IN THEM WE SEE NO COMPREHENSION OF THE REAL CAUSES OF THE INJUSTICES THEY PERCEIVE, AND NO HOPE FOR AN AUTHENTIC SENSE OF PLACE FOR THEMSELVES,(FOR THEM IT IS TRULY TOO LATE FOR THAT). NONETHELESS THEY PLEAD TO DADDY AND MOMMY GOVERNMENT FOR THAT WHICH WASN’T AVAILABLE TO THEM AS INFANTS, AND NOW CAN NEVER BE.
One of the arrested protesters in Austin called in to KLBJ a few minutes ago. He had no clue why they were protesting.

You have never in your life seen such a bunch of immature people, who refuse to grow up. They are pathetic and clueless.
This is the incubator where they prolong their infantile and dependent characters, until they graduate (or leave). Once in the ‘real world’, it is such a cold shower that most of them grasp at anything that will help them continue their childhood.... Like Liberal politics
They will begin to fade away. But the ideas they raised which poll well (i.e. student loan forgiveness) will be carried forward by well-scrubbed Democrat politicians in three-piece suits.
Or as I like to say; "...with an IQ above room temperature."
