I'm gonna go out a limb here and post this with great peril to my reputation, but;
About 10 days ago I was struck by comments made by longtime Dem strategist Pat Caddell who hypothesized that, ideology aside, Cain had a “Bill Clinton like” persona in that his popularity would grow each time the media or his opponents criticized him. So far Cadell’s analysis seems more accurate than those of GOP strategists such as Rove.

Pat Caddell is very perceptive. Cain actually does have a Bill Clinton-like persona.
