Gee, there I was thinking everyone was identical in ambition, ability, thriftiness, persistence, and diligence. And if we reward risk taking, we’ll encourage risk takers. Like Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, George Eastman. We need folks who do what they are told and never, ever take any chances.

I caught part of the interview, amazing that Epstein knows absolutely everything about everything. Ann Coulter made some good comentary this am. Said he made some good points but I put him in the category of “even a stopped clock is right once a day”.

Epstein is one of those truly brilliant guys who, besides being brilliant, clearly and meaningfully speaks in concise, tightly reasoned paragraphs without an “uh” or even so much as a pause. He is certainly one of the best spokesmen for libertarianism.

And he was booed by the rabble at the Skirball Center during his Intelligence Squared debate about the Obama jobs plan-just like Kris Kobach was in an earlier debate over immigration-so you know he's doing something right.

Thanks for mentioning the Intelligence Squared debate, which I just watched.
The booing was not particularly unexpected considering the venue.

I'm going to do a write-up of the event sometime later this week.
It really was an interesting debate, notwithstanding the peanut gallery.
