CSI NY was a repeat. My guess was that due to the series they ran repeats. I noticed this when other series games were played as well.

A rerun of csi ny and yes networks do it all the time as center programming to sports events....

It was preempted because CBS didn't want to show it opposite the World Series because fewer viewers would want to watch it.
I'll bet good money the episode is shown next week or at a later date.
