In 1968 a lot of the Democrat voters were sheared away by the third party presidential candidacy of George Wallace.

In the 1980’s they became Reagan voters (the “Reagan Democrats”)

And now in 2012 they will be Herman Cain voters.....

A little ironic perhaps to some, but older folks who voted for Wallace back in 1968, then supported Reagan will end up voting for Herman Cain in 2012.
