I would be ecstatic if we ever got to the point where the Federal spending was literally $1 less than the previous year’s spending. In Washington and in big media you can cut $trillion from the budget and actually spend more next year.
1 trillion is a good start. Even if it happened, the annual deficit would still be half a trillion.

What I find interesting is that even after all the cuts, elimination of five agencies, the 2016 budget shows a surplus of 19B, but it also shows a debt increase from 2015 of 600 billion with a total debt of 16,592 billion.
This is a trick that the Clintonistas pull in saying that WJC had budget surpluses, when every year the debt increased.
