You know what kills me about all of this? When the elites are indeed sitting in their fine homes, whom do they think is going to provide all of that luxury? The granite countertops, the beautiful architecture and landscaping, the fine sheets they will insist on sleeping on...we know they will want the creme de la creme of everything, and what provides that is FREE MEN ENGAGING IN FREE ENTERPRISE!!!! I spent more than 15 years of my life in Japan which is really ground zero for how the two competing visions work. From 1930-45 or thereabouts, the Malthusian theory prevailed. It ended on the ashes of World War II.
From 1945-1995, the Adam Smith theory prevailed. It saw the rise of an economic superpower.
Since 1995, Japan has flirted with their own brand of Keynesian libtardism. The result has been economic stagnation.
