From this Texan's perspective, it is far from true.

I have seen plenty of Texans complain about Perry, myself at times included.

But I have not seen the opinion from the people here that he is another Bush.

I think it's a lot to do with the "package" more so than actions. But illegal immigration is certainly a similarity in the "action" category. He's a lot more "establishment" than anybody other than Romney (and I'm NOT overlooking Newt when I say that).
