Question for you - how many Senators and how many House members support his plan?
No matter what the polls say, the House and Senate will be the ones that decide what - if any - changes will be made to the tax structure.
I doubt ANY member of CONgress will give up the power they hold, that power being the ability to twist the tax code to reward or punush for their (congresscritters) benefit.
To think otherwise is to dream of rainbows and candy....
