Peshawar Breast Cancer is a common disease among the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa and Tribal belt resident women. Unfortunately, there is no registered figure of Breast Cancer patients in KP province.
Irnum Hospital is celebrating a cancer awareness week from 10 October to 30 October, on Tuesday they arranged a walk in Peshawar University for awareness, in which people, students and doctors participated. During the period of 10 October to 30 October, the doctor or Irnum hospital will check the patients with out any fee at Irnum Hospital Peshawar.
According to Dr. Safoora in charge of Irnum Hospital, more then 44 percent of women in Pakistan are facing cancer and among those 22 percent were breast cancer patients. She said we figured out more than 5 thousand patients were diagnosed with breast cancer in just the past year, with most of the women belonging to tribal areas and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa province.
Dr. Safoora said that womens between the ages of 50 to 60 were facing the highest risk of breast cancer disease. She said that it is a common disease in women, because of stress, trauma and financial crises. Dr. Safoora confirmed that Pakistani women were in the top position in the Asian region for breast cancer
