Perry has a strong history of keeping campaign promises. The only one I can think of was his statement that he wouldn’t run for President. That’s a much more personal decision than whether to support pro-life bills or to do everything he could to secure the border

Yes but that is the most important issue for me. That goes to trust. To adamantly say you won’t run if reelected (NO, NO, NO in one debate) then turn around and do it tells me all I need to know about his character. To think so little of your constituents that you put your ambition before the people is just terrible. And from what I’ve heard it was his wife talked him into it. That brings up two other issues. What kind of 1st lady would she be if she cares so little about the people her husband is supposed to be serving if she can gain status by going further up the political ladder. And if Perry has so little backbone that he can’t stand up to his wife and tell her he won’t break a promise he made to the people of TX how is he going to stand up to congress & foreign leaders?

His explanation for why he does the whole in state tuition thing is understandable. I don’t like it but I don’t live in a border state with a federal government who refuses to do their job.The vaccine issue doesn’t either except the unholy alliance between him, his former chief of staff, and the drug company. Crony capitalism is one of the things that’s killing this country and taking away the voice of individuals.
