All the things America needs is a moot point if Perry doesn’t believe in protecting America’s borders and by extension, its sovereignty.

“if Perry doesn’t believe in protecting America’s borders and by extension, its sovereignty.”

Can you prove he does not believe in protecting America’s borders?

It is easy to criticize when you don’t study an issue and substitute repeated untruths spouted about a gazillion times on FR.

Perry is actually strong on border security. NumbersUsa rates him good on the issue, and said he could be rated excellent if he puts his statements into an official campaign position.

Perry opposes a full fence around the country. He believes in strategic fencing, along with boots on the ground and electronic surveilance. He also has a plan to handle the problem of legal immigrants overstaying their welcome, and wants to fix the flawed guest worker program. A LOT of illegals cross the border legally at checkpoints, and then stay — Perry wants better tracking. He is also for capturing and deporting illegals. No candidate supports building a fence along our entire southern border — the strictest only support a fence along the river section, which would allow illegals to come around the fence through the gulf or the pacific ocean, both of which are a lot easier to do then crossing many parts of the Rio Grande in Texas.

Perry’s flaw is his support for in-state tuition for children of illegals, kids who have been here for years, who the feds required states to educate, and who the feds have no intention of deporting. That’s not a border security issue — the kids are staying whether they are in college or not.
