Karl Rove Declares That Herman Cain Has ‘Peaked’
Mediaite, LLC ^ | October 24th, 2011 | by Jon Bershad

Posted on 10/25/2011 9:27:48 AM PDT by US Navy Vet

Herman Cain’s reign on top of the 2012 contender list may be coming to an end. That’s the impression Karl Rove gave during an appearance on Fox News this morning as he slammed the candidate as having “created an image of him not being up for this task” through a series of blunders. The conversation began with talk of Cain’s seemingly-confused stance on abortion. However, Rove then continued, pulling out an entire white board filled with missteps Cain had made thus far in the campaign. This all correlated with poll numbers that, according to Rove, show that Cain had already “peaked.”

I am actually ok with Cain peaking at 30’ish % as long as Romney stays peaked at 20’ish % :)

I just imagine that Karl is sitting there watching the “country club wing” of the GOP, of which he is a charter member, go into the dumper. So he’s lamenting publicly about that fact. He and Bush lead us to Obummer. He needs to be held to account.

The 'Lamestream' media, the rino's, inside the beltway boys and political pundits of all stripes never saw Cain as a viable candidate. There has been a solid stream of reasons coming from them since he announced as to why Cain couldn't be taken seriously, way Cain can't win, why Cain was a second tier candidate and as those reasons grew thinner in substance they have been forced again and again to find more and different reasons as to why Cain can't win.

Why do they continue to derail Cain even as he defeats their arguments against him?

There are any number of reason, he is not a member of the insiders club for one, he’s not a known career politician for another, but mostly these people just don’t understand a man like Herman Cain. Not that that is entirely their fault, because men like Herman Cain are so rare these days, men of real integrity.

It’s been at least 30 years since the ‘Lamestream’ Media has had to deal with some of Cain’s stripe and they are completely out of their depths in trying to understand him.

Herman Cain who truly was until recently a virtual unknown had faith enough in himself to decide to run for President of the United States on his own. There was no Media hype/pressure/build-up about a possible run, there was no urging by members of the Party, no words spoken into his ear by party players, elites, beltway boys or pundits, not even a word of encouragement from the Republican Party of his home state only faith in himself.

And time and time again Herman Cain has shown just what kind of man he is. Is he without faults? Hardly, no man is without his faults, but one measure of a man is how he faces his faults and Herman not only faces his faults, but admits to them, learns from them, teaches others from then and lastly he laughs at himself over them and it takes a man who is truly sure in himself to be able to laugh at their own mistakes.

Considering the great numbers of skeptics on this forum I am sure there will be a good number of FReepers who will find this post funny and stupid, but here goes: I think one of the reasons people support Herman and why so many skeptics can’t see Cain for what he is can be summed up in the following lines from the 2003 movie 'Secondhand Lions'

Hub: "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in."

In Herman Cain we see a good man, an honorable man, a man that has made his mark through his own effort and owes no one other than God and his Parents for his success. We see a man who did not seek money and power, but achieved them and a yet they clearly hold no sway over him.

Maybe we are foolish and gullible, maybe we have all seen ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington’ one to many times and now think that Good really can triumph over evil. The skeptics, naysayers, elitist, ‘Lamestream’ media types don’t believe in anything, but there are still some of us, many of us that choose to believe, because those are things worth believing in.

Rove is clueless. He told Greta Cain had dropped in the polling since Rove and other morons tried making something of the abortion issue. And used Real Clear Politics as his source. While Cain has dropped .1% (he was at 26% and is not at 25.9%) Cain is now leading by a full percentage point in part because it is Rove's boy, Romney, who has fallen from 25.5% to 24.9%.

“My cousin (the screaming Liberal), who likes to beat me up about my Conservatism, is heartily SICK of “O” and said he likes Cain!!!”..................

Encouraging to hear, and I pray there are many, many more like your screaming lib cousin out there. It must be galling for folks like him to actually GET what they thought they wanted.....and to finally SEE the consequences... the devastation that implementation of looney lib philosophy causes. I hope he stays awake, and doesn’t get sucked back down into the muck.

As for Rove, he finally lost me the night he went on the air and totally dissed and put down Christine O’Donnell’s chances of victory....not even allowing her one night to savor her primary victory in Delaware...just because HIS choice lost. His put down was instantly picked up by the dims and used repeatedly throughout that campaign.... Rove said she couldn’t win, and then he worked harder than the opposition, to make sure that she didn’t. Disgusting little creep.

Monica Crowley is a valley girl. Coulter’s crush on Christie is childish although she is more right than wrong. Krauthammer is usually correct but when is wrong he is way off the mark. Rove must have a financial interest in certain candidates and let’s not forget that W. barely won in 2004. It could have gone either way so I am tired of hearing what a genius Rove is. His vicious attack on Christine O’Donnell led me to send her donations.

Not that that is entirely their fault, because men like Herman Cain are so rare these days, men of real integrity.

No, the number one reason is that Cain is a conservative who can win. If there is anything the RATS and the RINOs are united on it's their hatred of conservatives.

The RATS and their state run media minions know they can roll RINOs like McCain and Romney, but can't roll conservatives so easily, if at all, so they're going to do everything they can to keep them from getting anywhere near the nomination. When it comes to the RINOs, always keep in mind that conservatives wrecked the easy ride they had—safe districts, invites to the Beltway soirees, plenty of election year pork—in return for going along to get along under their RAT betters. The RINOs have never forgotten nor forgiven the conservatives for this which is why the likes of McCain and Rove fight hardest against them.
