I sincerly believe that Santorum’s real purpose is to divide conservative votes so Mitt Romney can win.

I don't see it that way at all!! MB and Cain are the ones not fighting Mitt! Michelle's his buffer and Cain wants to look presidential and won't break a sweat - just read nt website and give me the prize! Plus the fact Cain's church fully supported Obama - guess he expects the same treatment barry voters gave him - just give it to him! Some people just feel entitled you know. Just like the other 'business man' - who has no business being there.

If Romney is the nominee, I believe going 3rd party is well worth the risk.

Absolutely! There is no splitting the party - he doesn't belong in our party. Let him go back to his liberal roots.

I cant imagine

Well start imaging it because he's not getting my vote - I'll write in before the snake in the grass con man ever gets my vote. He has no redeeming value - he's repulsive. I hate even waste my precious time posting about him along with it being a waste of bandwidth.

Conservative Party

They threw out the Tories in Canada and controlled parliament after about 5 years.

This is my worst fear. I've said/thought, a number of times, that any of the candidates can win against Obama, BARRING a 3rd party.

I've said/thought the similar thoughts since Perot's first disaster in 1992, and I thought the same about this election cycle until a few months ago.

Yes, I would prefer that the GOP run and win with a a conservative candidate. It would be the right thing to do -- let the 75% of registered Republicans nominate the conservative candidate of their choice.

What is happening is that the 25% of registered Republicans who are liberal/moderate/commie want to dictate their choice of commie candidate(s) to the other 75% of registered Republican voters. "That just wouldn't be prudent."

Conservative Republicans outnumber commie Republicans 3 to 1.

Conservative Republicans, combined with conservative Independents outnumber commie Republicans about 14 to 1.

Lots of these conservative Independents who are in closed primary states are changing their registration to Republican, just to defeat Romney and Perry (and whomever the next RINO establishment choice might be).

Romney is stuck below 25%, and will remain stuck below 25%, in the primary election and the general election. If the GOP forces, by whatever means, a Romney GOP nomination, he will be competing with Obama for the 40% or so of the entire voting population who believe this communist paradise is just getting better every day.

I'd rather not see the issue forced, but for the first time since Lincoln's election, a third party run will succeed.

What is so wrong with Bachmann? Neither Romney or Perry. Better than Cain.

Mittens will be our nominee.

I hope that a third party doesn’t run this time.

I hope the results will permanently destroy the Republican Party. I feel that we can no longer work within it.

Yes, Sarah running as third party and winning is our wet dream but I feel that is all it is.

“Romney/ Cain works for me. I cant imagine us notclosing ranks and supporting the republican candidate even if its Romney.”

The problem is Romney is NOT a republican. There is not a dimes worth of difference between him and Zero.

People say “Romney is better than Obama” ... I say HOW? Show me how he is different. Look at Romney’s record as Gov of Mass and tell me how he is any different than Zero.

You can’t.

If the country goes down the drain, let it be a Dem who does it ... it won’t be with someone I vote for.

“Grow up, I don’t like Romney either, but I’m not willing to hand these Marxist slime another 4 years because I would rather throw a tantrum because my guy didn’t get the nomination. “

It’s not a tantrum. Many of us here believe that Romney will be as bad as - possibly worse than - Obama.

Obama is destroying this country, but people are starting to look at conservationism for the solution.

Romney will show those people that the right has nothing more to offer than the left.

We can survive the attacks on our nation. We cannot survive the loss of the republican party.

I wouldn’t pull the lever for Romney even with Cain as his VP running mate.

This isn’t 2008. We have too much at stake here. It’s better 4 more years of Obama with a conservative congress than to give Romney a chance to push the party further left.

Santorum is willing to hit Cain for not being pro-life enough but not Mitt Romney whose flip-flopping is so obvious.

Rick does the Establishment’s bidding.

Attack and destroy Romney challengers.

Hear! Hear! Romney will never get my vote. Rhinos can blather and threaten all they want about insuring Obama’s second term.

If we are to become a party of principle, we must be principled.

I believe going 3rd party is well worth the risk.

Just vote straight demonRAT and cut out the middle man.

You vote third party, you vote for obummer.

A conservative that is pissed at the "liberal candidate" that the elite "push down out throats" is worse than a black that votes straight demonRAT.

The black at least has an opportunity of getting something for their vote, the disillusioned, disgruntled, conservative gets only more heartbreak; and another FOUR MORE YEARS.

“You vote third party, you vote for obummer.”

With most candidates, that argument has merit. I’ve been willing to tolerate a lot in our past candidates. I swallowed hard and voted for McCain & Dole (was too young to vote for Ford).

But Mitt? Sorry, he’s a bridge too far. He’s the national version of Dede Scozzafava in NY 23 in 2009-and we saw how that worked out. His past record indicates that he was arguably a more liberal Mass governor than Bill Clinton was POTUS. If we accept this guy, what we’re saying is our party stands for nothing. Furthermore, there wouldn’t be enough difference between Mitt and Obama if he were to win to sell our souls for this guy. This is why he’s not getting over 25% in most primary polls, and why a large number of Tea Party types will not accept him under any circumstances.

Obama is taking us over the cliff at 100 miles per hour. Romney at 80 miles per hour.

I sure as hell won’t be voting for a socialist like romney under any circumstances, not even as a “Prevent obama” move. Regardless of who’s 2nd on the ticket, Mr.Cain. If you want to kill your political career, that would be the right move.
