A bloody fistfight broke out among rival gang members at Richmond City Hall on Friday, according to police.
Seven men from different parts of the city brawled in a third-floor suite that houses the city’s Office of Neighborhood Safety around 12:30 p.m. Friday, department director Devone Boggan said.
He said all of the men involved in the melee are enrolled in the office’s “Operation Peacemaker” fellowship and happened to show up at the office at Richmond’s Civic Center at the same time unexpectedly.

The thugs had to leave their nines outside to get past the metal detectors at city hall seems more likely to me.
The ONS director said he sees the unarmed brawl as a sign of progress, since the young men involved all have a history of gun violence.
Sure looks like progress to me.

Reminds me of MPLS candlelight peace vigils where shootings often spontaneously break out.

Ya know I am getting sick and tired of the government muscling in on my turf. First it was the liquor and I said nothing then the gambling and I said nothing now they have taken out my protection rackets by paying gangs protection money not to bang. I have had it up to here. Next thing you know they will take over my last refuge of selling drugs. I can stand by no longer.

Richmond really sucks..I walked amoung the dreggs lining broad street a while back and went through the gauntlet of beggars, got to the end of the street and a beggar asked me for a dollar..I said no..he threatened me saying he would kill me for a quarter much less a dollar..well I was headed his way to stomp that scumbag a new one when I saw it would only be for fun to whip this pigs butt, so I went and told a policeman what had happened, he looked at me and said..who cares...he could not do anything about it no one heard the threats...

Yep since the Jets have returned to the NHL they will. Only one meeting of them this season and that will be Jan 12 2012.
